As discussed at the annual meeting, the TKM editors are running low on contributions. They are eager for content from more modelers, and the editor mentioned that they are eager to assist with the text - modelers do not need to provide a polished narrative. The key is to have an interesting model subject and good pictures. There has been extensive discussion, I think on the Yahoo group, about how to take pictures good enough for the e-zines - does not really require expensive cameras, just attention to the setup technique, which was described recently in detail (a suggestion to the TKM editors, perhaps there should be an article on what it takes to write a TKM article?? Get it "in-print" where all the readers who might be able to contribute, would understand what the scope of their effort would be???)

The annual meeting discussion included a possible reduced publications frequency, which the staff wants to avoid, but after 5+ years a relatively small group has generated a HUGE amount of content. I would suspect the key guys have run out of subjects and need to do some more modeling. The TKM author base needs expansion, and this was solicited during the meeting.

As for RMC, word is they changed either the printer or to a new printing process, and had a major SNAFU printing the April issue - IIRC something about production processes and formats. Almost a month late. I think their intent is to quickly get back on their traditional printing schedule - I have not heard anything about editorial/content related delays.
