Does any one have information if the B28s had tender tags that show the capacity and deck heights? Dose any one know the capacity and deck heights? Bill

Bill. Class 80S65 was the tender used with the B28s. 80S65 represents an 8000 gal tank, used in switching service with a deck height of 65". Coal
capacity, based on the PRR issued descriptive list of locomotives and tenders dated 5/15/48, is 17100 lbs and water capacity at 7800 gallons. Hope this is

Thanks Joe; I found the 8000 gal, but not the rest. I presume they carried the cast plate with the original engine number and this info as per PRR standard
procedure on the rear of the tank. Bill
